Jun 03, 2017 Turn the Headphone MIX knob on the TRAKTOR PRO 2 screen farthest to the left. It is recommended to place the MAIN level (Master Output Level) knob and the Headphone VOL knob on the TRAKTOR PRO 2 screen at 2 o’clock posion. (If you double click these knobs on the computer screen, they automatically turn to 2 o’clock position.).
Jul 28, 2018 Guten Tag. Aug 09, 2015 How to install the official pioneer traktor mapping on the ddj-sx 2 using Traktor 2.9. Category Music; Show more Show less. How to install DDJ-SX Traktor Pro 2.6.7 mapping - Duration: 11:24. The Pioneer DJ DDJ-SX2 is the successor to the DDJ-SX. With dedicated controls for the Serato Flip expansion pack. The four-channel controller and standalone mixer builds on the popularity of its predecessor, by adding multi-colored performance pad LEDs and on-jog digital cue point markers. This Setting File is required when using Native Instruments' TRAKTOR PRO 2 Ver 2.6.8 with the DDJ-SX. Before use: depending on your computer's specifications, the reaction of the Preferences window may get slow after importing the Settings File. However, such behavior will not cause any problems with the application itself.
With velocity-sensitive performance pads, a four-channel standalone hardware mixer and a slip mode borrowed from Pioneer’s CDJs, the controller is a high-end model, in Vestax VCI-400 territory, with visual elements and build quality also reminiscent of the Numark NS6.
Features
- Performance pads. Similar to the Novation TWITCH and the Vestax VCI-380 (and velocity-sensitive, like the latter), the controller’s performance pads will control samples, cues, loop rolls and a slicer, and like with the Traktor Kontrol S4, they push the jogs back up the controller
- “Dual Deck” mode. This will apparently let you link two decks (ie A&C, B&D) and manipulate them as one
- 4-channel standalone hardware mixer. Like the Vestax VCI-400 (finally), the unit will also work as an analogue mixer
- Slip mode. Slip mode lets you manipulate the track (scratching, looping, triggering cue points), then when you exit slip mode, the track will continue where it would have been before you began. It’s a popular feature on CDJs from Pioneer and Denon
- Other high-end features. Fader start, dedicated filter knobs, large platters with CDJ-like LEDS, booth and master outs with balanced connectors and two mic inputs point all to this being very much a pro controller, that ought to appeal to those playing out as much as bedroom DJs
Described by Serato as “the most advanced all-in-one DJ controller to date” and “the pinnacle of our work to date”, the company is clearly staking a lot on the combination of this controller and its new software. The DDJ-SX, bundled with Serato DJ, is available from November at a SRP of US$1,199 / £809 / €999, with the first 10,000 units bundled with a free licence for the Serato Video plug-in, worth around US$149 / £92 / €116.

Pioneer Ddj-sx With Traktor Pro 2 Pro
- How well does the Pioneer DDJ-SX map with traktor? Because I already have the controller however I am not really into serato. I dont know really if this was ever discussed here, and I cant find any review about this because the DDJ-SX is already specifically made for serato. I am also not sure if this should be posted here or the software thread :/

Have you tried looking up the mapping via Google yet? I don’t know how the mappings work with the SX, but it may be worth a shot to watch users who’ve uploaded videos to Youtube. It works OK, but the SX is a match made in heaven for Serato.
Honestly if I use Traktor I would rather get an S4 or a 4Trak.
However the SX works stunningly well with Cross also…Indeed I think for Traktor there are better suited controllers than the SX.I’ve used the DDJ SX with Traktor from the day I got it november 12th last year up until May this year when I started using it with Mixvibes Cross. I still use it with traktor each saturday as I’m the DJ for Team Klaksvik witch is our Handball team. I need to use a lot of samples so Remix decks are needed.
If you not into scratching the DDJ SX + Traktor is even better match then S4 + Traktor IMHO.I’m no scratch DJ so I can’t really comment on if it’s not possible but just referring to what others say that do scratch. It’s doable but not as tight as the jogs are with Serato DJIndeed the latency from the SX in Traktor is too much to really do decent scratching. At least I could not get off a decent scratch routine, where with Serato the SX is really tight and scratching is easy.Hey David,So I’ve been using Traktor Pro 2 for a little while 3-4 months, and I recently purchased a Pioneer DDJ SX and can I start by saying that (as you probably already know) this is probably the best standalone midi DJ controller out there. Great Jog wheels, the pads are awesome, build quality, knobs, faders etc. the whole Shibang is primo deluxo! But one failing are the jog wheel integration (as already mentioned in this post). I recently posted (see link below) asking people for an explanation of why Traktor cannot integrate with 3rd party Jogwheels. I guess I’m trying to get a sense of whether it is a marketing thing, or maybe a technical incompatibility. Either way, one cannot do proper scratching with the Traktor-SX combo (only simple baby scratches), happy to go into more detail of my experiences here if you wish. That said, everything else is fine. I downloaded a midi mapping TSI file from JaJa Artwork (French guy), and I think Coltrane09 above has a link to this. I’ve done my own mods to this midi mapping, but it is pretty comprehensive, and the other cool thing is that he/she updates it regularly, adding new features. So everything is great, except for the damn jog wheels, and I’m hoping someday that someone, somewhere, somehow comes up with a solve for this issue. - Posts
